The Pentateuch/Torah Series

This series covers classes that were done on the Hebrew Torah, also known as the Pentateuch or the Five Books of Moses. Here is the story of Genesis - In the Beginning.

Certainly, any single book of the Bible can be a study in itself. This single class covers the Book of Job as an appendix to Genesis and addresses the question of why good people suffer.

Next we travel into the great Saga of the Exodus which includes the Biblical books of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy.

Who doesn't know the story of Job, or as some have stated, the patience of Job? This of course is a rhetorical question.

Job, was actually an oriental chieftain, pious, upright, and prosperous, however, most think of it as relating to Jewish tradition. Job was contemporary with Abraham and sheds further light on these important times and culture. Therefore, it should be studied following Genesis. The Book of Job tells of his trials at the hands of God, his theological discussions with friends on the origins and nature of his suffering, his challenge to God, and finally a response from God.

A most fascinating study of how we should relate to God,it answers the question of why God tests our faith. If you are searching for answers on suffering and why others seem to live an earthly rich life, you will enjoy this study.
