Let's take a break and watch what Congresswomen Michele Bachmann of Minnesota said in the congressional house.

The Constitution is just as relevant today as ever before. Probably even more so. In the beginning of our country, people knew what they were escaping. Today people have forgotten and have lived in a country that has been growing in wealth, but there has been an ever widening gap between the elites and the middle class. There is no other country in the world that has offered people such an opportunity to better themselves. That is being taken away. Never in 5000 years has any country been able to accomplish so much is so little time. At present we are going backwards and into economic failure — Bankruptcy! We are also moving toward moral bankruptcy.

Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:
'I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property - until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.'

This quote from Jefferson has happened and it was the first sliver I mentioned in the beginning on page one. It was the establishment of the central bank, The Federal Reserve Bank. Once again, the public has been lied to and bamboozled. The Federal Reserve Bank is not an entity of the United State government. It is not owned or operated by employees of the United States government. It is a private bank that makes more profits than any other business in the country and all tax free.

I can hear you saying right now, "Ridiculous, I don't believe that." The president appoints the board of directors to the Federal Reserve Bank. While that may appear to be to the public eye, that is absolutely not true. This is a lesson all of its own. May I suggest you download a book that you can have for free, no charge. The Ratification of 16th Amendment and the Assault on Freedom
Among the worst events, 97 years ago a progressive income tax was made possible in the United States. Prior to this time the Federal Government paid all of its bills (including the salaries of congressmen, presidents, federal judges, et al) from the levies and duties it collected. There was no tax on individual citizens.

For more than 150 years the country was spared a progressive income tax because (a) the Constitution specifically forbade one and (b) the courts upheld the Constitutional prohibition.

. . . . unfortunately, and on Feb. 3, 1913, the 16th Amendment to the Constitution was ratified. A federal income tax and the authority to enforce it—the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)—soon followed.

Today, almost a century later, the average American toils for nearly five months to earn the money to pay the federal behemoth. It's still not enough to balance the books, however, as the national debt is growing by $1.4 trillion a year. — Chip Wood ~ Liberty Alerts

I would like you listen to a heroic patriot acting as Thomas Paine.

Once again, Mr. Paine addresses the issue of the Stimulus Package Washington D.C. has forced upon "We the People," the ones having to pay the bills.

So many of our freedoms have been taken from us and so have the powers that "We the People" are supposed to maintain. We have given them up, or they have been taken away from us. No matter how you look at it, we are in trouble and we are under attack, soon, to no longer be free. The list of things the current oligarchy is rapidly enforcing will place a burden so great upon each and every one of us that America will no longer exist as a free and independent country. How much longer before that happens? It's too late, it has happened, but it is not too late to take the country back. It is not too late to regain our freedom and liberty. We must act now, and we must act without ceasing, without rest.
